If I take a second major in statistics, can I still use gem2900 to count for my GEM requirements?

This post has long been gone eh? But I want to ask a few questions. Does stats involve math a lot? Is it a very competitive major up to now? thanks.

some math modules are unavoidable, but the curriculum only consists of few such mods. it was quite competitive due to large number of foreigners who tended to do really well. at least that was the case before I grad 2 years ago.

now sure how the new data sci course affect stats maj now.

Is it really hard to get into? And is it true that it's very competitive, even more than any other majors?

Also, when applying for statistics, did you immediately choose stats with specialisation in finance considering you wanted to be an actuary?

No, if you get into science you can declare any one of the majors as science aside from pharmacy, food science and quantitative finance
