SIDS...every parent's nightmare.
Doesn't look like it, SIDS has no external cause, iirc. Suffocation due to a parent rolling over onto the child IS a cause of death, so it's likely not SIDS in this case.

An odd thought.

Could some suffocation cases be classified as SIDS deaths to.. reduce the guilt felt by the parents? It's easier (not that it's ever easy) to accept that your child was spirited away by sheer rotten luck than the possibility of you causing it.
