Thanks. I will check with her vet today.

I personally dont recommend it because of the public health issues. I know some vets do, so please discuss with your attending vet and then make your decision

X-rays weren't conclusive. Some odd ball-like shapes were seen, but we can't ascertain if it's a foreign object or just a part of the intestine.

He's dripped and provided with antibiotics, as his blood test (WBC) showed some inflammation of sorts.

We're going to do another round of x-rays I think later this morning to see if it yields positive clues about the ball-like shape we saw.

Me and my wife were recollecting our memories about possible items that resemble a ball-like object. We kinda think it might be a bell (2cm diameter) that went missing from his collar some 9-11 months back. Is it possible for a ingested bell to stay in him for so long before becoming a problem like we see now?
Abit unlikely to have foreign body obstruction from something he ate 9 months ago. Maybe consider ultrasound the dog to check for intussusception

Keep those test result.. X-ray, ultrasound.
If you want to go for 2ND option.. Can show the vet to avoid repeating do the test again.

Unhappy Pet ownership transfer

I just adopted a 3 year old cat from a lady, she previously adopted her from SPCA in 2014.

I need advice on how to change the info of her microchip number, such that it will be under my name and contact details.

Also, I just brought my cat, Nana, to the vet today.

The doctor said she heard heart murmurs which could suggest a leakage in the heart?
I've asked her for the 2 clinics in Singapore that offer heart scans however she has not sent me the details as she's busy.

Anyone knows about these 2 clinics?

I could only remember 1 is in Thompson and the other in Serangoon.

One of it is called MOUNTpleasant veterinary group, the other is Pets Avenue Verterinary clinic (if I remember correctly)

Thanks in advance!

I dunno much about the system in Singapore but in Australia, there are only 2 databases for microchip ID and once you have proof of ownership, most vet clinics in Australia can change the details for you.

Most definitely Mt Pleasant will have such facilities, as far as I know they are the biggest vet group in Singapore

Cat no need to be licensed in Singapore.. So I think the only thing ex owner had to do is update with SPCA. I think SPCA will keep a record with the microchip number together.

And is best to ask ex-owner to write a ownership transfer letter as a proof?

Any vet practice would be able to update the info on her microchip, you just have to ask them.
I'm sorry I can't help with the 2 clinics. Hope that's not the case for her though. Good luck!

Go see Dr Sabine Bozon at Animal Recovery Centre at 466 Serangoon road. She's the cardio specialist. Very thorough and skilled. And very gentle in her touch. It's hard to book her time so call soon. I can't say much about the other vets. She sent her very detailed report to my other vet clinic for their review.

For the microchip, register with AVA, SPCA or Pet Call. There is no one database for cats.

My Ranchu recently don't know own why got a white coat on the skin like it is trying to shed it's slime coat. He's not too active nowadays and i feel that his stomach is swelling. He's in a 30 litre tank with a suckerfish previously. Took out the suckerfish upon noticing it

You may need to consult a vet with expertise in fish medicine, there is one guy http://www.thefishvet.com.au/ in Australia that will happily work with your regular vet to come up with a solution

A few things to consider for fish is the ammonia, pH, water temp or even external parasites. The swelling of the abdomen could be a lot of things but the first thing that comes to my mind is swim bladder infection.
