Save Our Street Dogs (SOSD)

SOSD-Header-Logo-beige-103x700.jpg

Founded- July 2011
Where - Singapore
What - Local Group/Cause (Non-Profit)
For - Singapore Street Dogs

While there has recently been slight progress in the area of animal welfare in Singapore, the culling of our strays dogs is continuing at an alarming pace, mainly due to rapid urbanization.

A group of volunteering stray lovers, feeders and rescuers from various walks of life have come together with the purpose of pursuing change for these innocent animals. We have named our group simply: Save Our Street Dogs (SOSD).

Save Our Street Dogs (SOSD) is unified by the common passion and conviction to be the voice of our homeless strays, to champion their cause and to bring about a positive change in their lives. Our group objectives are simple. We focus on advocating for the strays, and assisting in managing the integration and acceptance of mongrels in society. Our mission is to save our street dogs and give them a chance in life, to the best of our ability. Until each dog has a refuge; a home to call its own and in which it is dearly loved.

SPCA Singapore - Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animal

38.jpg

The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) is a registered animal welfare charity with IPC status.

The SPCA is not a government agency. We rely on donations from our supporters to continue our important role as animal protector.

Over $2,000,000 annually is required to carry out our animal welfare work.

We receive approximately 500 pets and stray animals every month. This figure includes lost dogs which are all checked for microchips and advertised in the press in an effort to locate their owners.

Objectives
The objectives of the Society are to prevent cruelty to animals and birds and to promote kindness to animals and birds.

Vision
A compassionate Singapore where all animals are treated with kindness and respect.

Mission
To promote kindness and prevent cruelty to animals through education, advocacy and action.

Ambition
To be the leading authority and advocate on animal welfare and cruelty issues in Singapore.

Please help do a part and spread the msg

My dear friends,
the cat museum has always been saving many rescued strays which are pregnant or injured and giving them the opportunity to mingle with people so as to have a chance to get adopted.<3

It's a really good way to have cats adopted with no chances of getting put down.
Unfortunately, its now at a risk of shutting down on 10june2018 UNLESS they raises 250k by 10june2018, which sadly now has only about around 6k :( we wouldnt want future stray cats to be placed at a shelter with high chance of getting put down dont we?

We can do our part by sharing this and getting our friends to donate to raise funds OR head down to the catmuseum (near bugis) to mingle with them :) hopefully we can get people to adopt the kitties too.

We humans have made this place far too urbanised and taken over and away most lands, we left little space of wildlife. For the cats to survive in Singapore as stray, it's so rare and we should stop worsening our negative actions on them. We have already did enough by taking away wildlifes' land.

Please help the meows share this video, even small amounts and small efforts could make a difference. By sharing this video, you're doing your part too :)
