It's inevitable, Samsung will be announcing the 2017 refresh for their A-series lineup.
There have been many leaks thus far.

From SamMobile:

"..We can now confirm that Samsung has the 2017 iteration of the Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7 in the pipeline.

The model numbers of the 2017 iteration of this lineup include SM-A320F, SM-A520F and SM-A720F for the Galaxy A3, A5 and A7 respectively. The SM-A520F has also been spotted in import listings, it has been imported into India for the purpose of testing. Other handsets in this lineup are expected to follow suit soon.

Benchmark results for the Galaxy A5 (2017) show that it may be powered by the Exynos 7880 processor coupled with 3GB RAM. Further details about the specifications of the smartphones in this lineup will likely be available soon. It’s unclear at this point in time when Samsung will be launching the 2017 iteration of the Galaxy A series."

Going by history, It'll probably be announced in early December and released in Singapore in Mid January. Hoping it'll support Samsung Pay (at least for the A5 and A7).

This line up is always an interesting one to watch out for! :)
The 2016 editions are great for what they are and have a good design choices / material choices.

A5 2017 with 16gb ROM is a no no. Hopefully they come up with 32gb ROM variant. These days too much app taking too much space. 3gb RAM is the minimum expected. Otherwise stay with A5 2016.

Galaxy A5 (2017) and Galaxy A7 (2017) spotted in IMDA equipment database.

Looks like Samsung isn't bringing the Galaxy A3 (2017) to the Singapore market, or maybe it hasn't pass certification by IMDA yet.

The Galaxy A (2017) series will be announced on January 5 in Malaysia, alongside with a global unveil event happening during CES 2017.
