Too big battery capacity for Note 8 is not a good idea. Later same thing happen just like Note 7 how? Now on 3300mah maciam firmware restrict of 60% on Note 7. Still safer than to be sorry.

what i dont understand is why cant they also include 4000mAh in note8 just like they did for S7 Active?

Note 8 with a larger body than S8+ but has only 3300 mAh battery comparing with S8+'s 3500 mAh battery. Some more (though same processor) :

1. Note 8 has a larger 6.3" screen to drive than the S8+ 6.2" screen

2. Note 8 has to emit electromagnetic field to power the stylus when in use

3. Note 8 has two back cameras to drive than one on the S8+

Will it end up with much poorer battery life than S8+?
Agree with your comments but knowing their N7 history they will not take any chances. So as much as I am disappointed I will still buy because you don't have an alternative stylus phone in the market. We know and they also know..

My friend using s8+ said the bixby is useless, basically can't work even though say until got dragon got phoenix :s22: don't pin too high hopes on that feature

Rather you should look forward to the dual cam instead :o feel happy for u that you're getting note8 soon
Thanks!

Yes .. out of 10 ppl I spoke to regarding Bixby, 10 of them responded sucks. Ha

But it may change. . Lol. I drive a lot so voice assist feature is a good thing to have..

May not be totally relevant question..

Given the length of N8 and it's weight, for those drivers here what do you use in your car to hold your mobile?

- Tried the magnetic type it dropped off and dent my car
- Tried the pressure rubber type - parked under hot sun for a day, the rubber kinda melt and become soft and drop off

honestly i will wait a little while to get the note 8 . .

I feel note is the best productivity phone out there.. but quite similar to s8+ in design and 80% functions.. so will wait for price to drop a little

however when s8+ was launched.. I was so attracted by the much bigger screen and excellent display that i broke my tradition and bought it on the first day of the preorder launch..

will wait till oct to buy my note 8..

For those looking to buy Spigen from Qoo10 and flex some of your muscles using coupons

http://www.qoo10.sg/g/416377588/Q101070100
http://www.qoo10.sg/g/414928156/Q101070100

These are not time sales or daily deals, so you can apply coupons to it :D

And a simple search returned 3 sellers already taking pre-orders for the Note8.

http://www.qoo10.sg/g/550326550/Q101070100
http://www.qoo10.sg/g/548844894/Q101070100
http://www.qoo10.sg/g/529691696/Q101070100

Whats better you can apply $100 coupon on it, cheapest I found from MgMobile @ $1238 :D as usual, please exercise caution when buying from these sellers since they are not part of the pre-order launch partners, furthermore you won't get on 9/9, likely their stocks will be public launch 15/09 onwards.

lastly just a tip, select Qxpress delivery so that you can cancel anytime before delivery. ;) happy shopping.

s-pen related circuit is off until you remove the pen.

my concern about note8 is the length -- 10mm+ longer than note5 :(
also curved screen edge means less usable screen area.

i wont mind not having the gimmicky curved screen in exchange for better battery capacity....i would think power note users would value endurance over the curved screen.
