I cant Encrypt my Micro-Sd Card/s in S3/ S3 4g or Note 2

Does anyone else have this issue?

I bought Sandisk 32GB microsd and 64GB microsdxc from challenger and tried in 3 of these phones (some belonging to my friends) and the Encrypt SD card options were greyed out

(ice cream and jellybean version)

Following advice , i formatted in PHONE the card and when tried to encrypt its greyed out

then I try formatting in mac , threw some files in there, the phones are able to access the cards but cannot encrypt because option is still greyed out

brought to service center, answer after waiting for 1.5 hours was "we dont know why? first time we encountered"
they tried my card/their card on my phones , their card on their phones all doesnt work. Their phones they tried at service center cant encrypt their card or mine.

Does anyone have any success? would really appreciate help.

its under SETTINGS, SECURITY, ENCRYPT EXTERNAL SD CARD
cant check the options there as its greyed out

thank you.
