Hi

Anyone facing the mentioned issue? Just realized the S3 wifi hotspot no longer tethers with my notebook.

Using stock ROM without hard reset after upgrading to JB 4.1.1

I dun see this problem. The tethering has only intermittent connection before upgrade. I would suggest hard reset it. Or wipe the cache in recovery mode.

Downgrade might me another solution if still not working. Downgrade procedure. http://www.vodeblog.com/2012/11/how-to-downgrade-samsung-galaxy-s3-jelly-bean-to-ice-cream-sandwich-ics-stock-firmware/

RE

OK, problem solved.

I'm using S3 & Note 2.

If connecting from notebook to one of them through AndroidAP it captures the password (as shown in the smartphone) in the notebook.

On connecting the 2nd smartphone if it doesn't connect then go to the notebook to change to the new password (as shown in the 2nd smartphone)

Then it'll connect. No drop in tethering signal.

BTW, it was done after hard reset
