It is out, just not locally for Singapore.
You can download the ICS firmware and flash it via ODIN... |

I read somewhere that Samsung is planning to release the update for South East Asia in early Q2.

Not for Singapore and if I update will it work properly? If it doesn't work you could just flash the firmware via ODIN or flash a previous firmware and do the update though... If you are not very tempted by ICS, and the steps seem daunting I would advise you to wait out for the local update... |

May I know what do u mean by "flash it via ODIN" ? How do you flash your phone? Make sure Kies isn't running, put phone into download mode and flash the firmware. That's just a simple summary, but I'm pretty sure there's some guides out there... [ROM+Guide]Official i9100 Firmwares KL1/2/3/LA2,4/LB2,LPE/Q/7/2/F/S/4/7 Download - xda-developers Samsung Galaxy S2 - Guide to Rooting your phone (Always evolving and ever changing!) Take note that flashing custom roms/kernels (via ODIN) will increase the binary counter (and risk voiding warranty), whilst flashing official stock roms will not increase the counter (even if from another region) You may consider rooting and flashing a custom kernel and/or rom, there's the Triangle Away app for ICS to reset the binary counter anyways. |

Officially, it is already available for our indonesian counterpart. they uses the same firmware, modem and it is multi-csc.
i flashed dxlp7 via odin. there is no need to back up your data, as after upgrade everything remains the same, even for the crappy apps your provider provides.
