I didnt purchase with member rate. I asked for a 10% discount and the sales person countered with $799 with 4 gig stick and wireless mouse. So in the end i got it with a bag instead of a mouse.

If I were you I would wait for windows 7 to come out. Its only a week away. Windows 7 one will prob cost a bit more but least you'll have a choice between getting a xp one or a 7. For me I didnt have a choice, because I'm going on a business trip on Saturday so I needed to get one now.

i want to wait... but i am afraid it doesn't launch by next week.... i am an impatient guy. hahas

the best part is that what is being shown in HP website..

HP recommends Windows 7..

but its system are being preloaded with Vista/XP. dots.

you mean one with Win7 or without.

311 is already in the market with Win XP Home.

Yup, its (Win XP) out in some stores in SG, but seems like only a few stores in SG have it. The rest like dun have. The Win 7 should be out by 22nd Oct...
