Hahaha, yes we know nothing beats an old nice vintage nib for the ultimate nib flex experience ......

Guys you all are talking about flex in the nib right ?
For that you have to try vintage pens

Sailor Nib Master

Went to AB this afternoon, brought my pens there for Sailor Nib Master Mr Yukio Nagahara to adjust. Since I did not make any prior appointment, I was lucky to be able to "jump the queue" and let him grind one of my MF Sailor nib. He took less than 10 mins to complete the work and had miraculously transformed my rough MF nib to a smooth fine nib.

I have to book another time slot on Saturday to let him adjust my few other pens.

Can try Mustafa or Big Bookshop Clementi.

Tried Big Bookshops, NBCs, and some other places..., no one has Blue-Black

Do you think Mustafa stocks this? The last time I went there also no Blue-Black.

Thanks for the lead.

Mustafa should have.

Why do you want Lamy Blue-black specifically? last I heard its Iron-gall based which is not suitable for fountain pens.

how to refill for sailor pro series

Hi gurus,

first time refilling wifey's sailor. How should we refill the ink? put out the converter and dip it inside the ink to refill or...

forgot to ask AB when we were there yesterday to adjust the nib by the nib master. Wifey was very happy after the magical treatment by the nib master. He even showed us his personal pen and we were impressed. He offered to replace the nib if we are interested, but the price of the nib is $$$$....can't remember the name of the nib, it's reversible with fine and 2B. He let us try out his pen and it was speechless...the smoothness....

anyway, back to the main topic. how to refill....

while at AB yesterday, me and wifey was introduced to some limited edition sailor fountain that would be launched every 2 months. It comes with 4 designs and each is limited to 28 pieces. me and wifey were interested in the double dragons and the chirin design but the cost per piece is $20k.

wifey ask can she has it as her birthday present...almost fainted....the japanese girl that was with the nib master was laughing all the way when wifey said that. Luckily wifey later said that the pen could be too big for her and decided not to have it...

But she is now keen on the sakura design from the flower series. AB said that the flower series is exclusive to them...gurus here got any idea it is true? After discount it's about $1.7k. Wifey suggested it's either the sakura pen or scoty cameron my girl 2009 putter...
