i have done a vista-to-xp downgrade for a friend after recommending her the asus u80. Looks good, feels good and plays wow competently (she is those type in guilds and weekly raids and what have u not i dunno sia)

I inherently sport a personal bias for asus too heh

Have lar, I saw Simlim Microware selling it for SGD$1598, P7450, ATI HD4650 1 GB ram, 4 gb system ram. 500 gb HDD.

But Price kinda steep.

Asus K40in SGD$1399, P8800, 4 gb ram, 500gb hd, G105 512MB ram.

btw anychance u would know if simlim sells ASUS N81Vp-D1 or the normal N81Vp.

cus one very important key is different.
they changed the fn button and ctrl button.
last time btm left of keyboard used to be fn then ctrl.
now ctrl then fn.

i'm not very sure which N81VP version. you can call up microware and ask them. just google for their number.

i got a few friends using ASUS notebooks. they don't seems to have problem with the notebooks. hardly heard them complaining.

you can try out fujitsu notebooks, they are a little steep. but notebooks are reliable.
