New rig shows DVD RW Drive as not a valid win32 application.

Hello everyone, i upgraded my PC awhile back everything is installed properly. Nothing is wrong but my DVD RW drive keeps showing F:/ is not a valid win32 application.

Anyone knows anything about this?

I am thinking it might be the bios. [tried a couple of other troubleshoot but nothing is wrong]

I've even went down to the biostar service center to get my motherboard checked and nothing was wrong. @.@

My current setup is as stated on the right >>>.

Any help will be deeply appreciated. I am still waiting to enjoy this rig. T.T

P.S. DVD drive is working fine. Tried using another DVD drive [100% working on another rig] still the same.

don't double click it. Right click and explore/open it. do you get this problem? Btw when you get this error msg, is it with or without disc? If with, might be the shell open command cockup in your registry.

EDIT: also try to disable autorun and see how.

No major diff. I tried uninstalling all the IDE drives and reinstalling. Nothing worked.

I tried changing the bios and manually set the PIO to 0 and DMA to UDMA0 [something like that].

The DVD drive did work after that but the speed is very slow. Any idea what settings should i use for the bios?

Thanks in advance.
