Sitex Laptop Opinions for Sitex

Hi all,

For the upcoming Sitex I plan to purchase a laptop for myself for my upcoming overseas studies. Therefore I need a laptop which can handle everything from school work to gaming.

Im very interested in the new COD:Modern warfare and would be really happy if anyone could recommend me a laptop that can handle this game.

I probably will need a gaming laptop i believe so please do recommend me.

But here comes the catch there is a budget to it. I only can spend around 2000 dollars plus or minus around 300.

So please do help me and give me ur recommendations.

Thanks all.

To be honest, if you are going overseas to study, for example Australia, it would be better that you buy your laptop there because of the service and warranty. Not all brands of laptop sold in Singapore comes with international warranty.

For your budget wise, an ASUS or DELL would be able to fit in your pocket. =)

And yes im going to australia to study, does this mean its cheaper there relatively?

Ok..maybe you can consider the Sager NP8662..

You can approach these 2 local resellers:
Mucro
http://www.mucro.asia/index.php/vmch....html?Treeid=2

Sgcubehubs
http://www.sgcubehubs.com/sager_notebook

But I'm not sure whether the Sager laptops sold here have global warranty..you'll have to ask them abt it

Hey,

Yeah i was considering the same one. But was just wondering if the 260m would be enough to handle COD-modern warfare.

You can buy the laptops here but if there isn't international warranty and if anything were to happen to your laptop while you are in Australia, the shipping costs to and fro will balance if not cost more than the difference between buying a laptop here and buying one in Australia, don't forget, shipping charges in Australia isn't cheap at all to begin with...

Yup, and taking Sager's quality stamp into the picture, you might want the warranty to be in Australia...

Hmm... I've heard bad stuff about that, so different sides of the stories.

Anyway no laptop is perfect and free from defects etc, the one most important thing for laptop is warranty because you can't replace any given parts freely, and one minor part could cause your laptop to stop functioning as a whole...

Warranty is utmost importance for a laptop...
