It is a good deal?
I am wondering that since a 0.28ct would not get cert by AGS hence an in-house cert by HoF be a better choice?
If not, what other choice do I have for getting a good 0.28ct?

Hi Destinyz,

I am not sure if i can help you. I have one loose 0.28ct F SI H&A GIA Triple Ex (Eye-clean)

Pavilion : 40.8
Table : 57%
Depth : 61.4%
Star : 55%
Lower gridle : 80%
HCA score : 1.3 (Excellent)

Drop me a message at kokboon9926@yahoo.com if you like to have a look.

Hi NTB2DO, I do get what you mean, but as I say I would like to get it with side diamond or diamond with side alexandrite, not totally without diamond, but I have no idea where I can get alexandrite in Singapore.

Hi Desmond126, thank for the offer but I would like it to be at least a VS instead of SI.

Hi Destinyz,

no problem....actually u don really can see the different between VS & SI for the size below 0.3 with naked eye as long as the SI is eye-clean.

I believe you are looking for VS grade as it is an important element to you.

I am also considering alexandrite as it is my gf birthstone, want to make it special and unique.

But I just do not know where to get the natural alexandrite as it change colors in different lighting where synthetic alexandrite does not.

Were thinking of getting an alexandrite ring with side diamonds or a diamond ring with side alexandrites, anyone got idea where can I find this in Singapore?
U might wanna check out some gemstone wholesalers at golden landmark, just off bugis MRT station. however, i heard alexandrite are not cheap too. especially if it changes from eg. red to green most rare. i think some ppl call them "ruby by day, emerald by night" sumthin like dat.

Systhetic alexandrite also changes colour so just becareful when buying them. its best if it comes with a gem identity report, preferably local cert like NIG cert (nanyang gem lab, local lab), or international certs like GIA, Gubelin cert, etc. cos other gem ID certs might not be reliable. esp from thailand or sri lanka certs.

HCA Score:Assuming optical symm 0.6 Excellent.. Based on HCA it is a GIA Excellent Cut but it FAILED the AGS IDEAL Grade.

Light Return (ASET/ IDEAL Scope):Not able to verify

Crown/Pavilion Angle deviation:Not available to verify

H&A Pattern:Not available to verify

Star Ratio/Deviation:50% Good chance of an average hotspot and scint

Depth Gridle Facet:80%Good chance of an excellent hotspot and scint but limited by average star ratio

Painted/Dugged/Classic gridle: Not able to verify

Fluorescence:None cannot able to verify

Inclusion:Not able to verify

Based on the assumption that it is a H&A. i would est it to be around 3600+- 500

Thanks Mingj,

It is indeed a H&A base on what I see but "H&A" is not laser engraved on the stone.

Does failing the AGS IDEAL Grade means it is not worth it?

As highlighted in earlier post, H&A inscription at the girdle do not have not "baring" to the type of cut.
ie. H&A stone do not need to have H&A inscription to "prove" that it is. and a stone with H&A inscription do not mean it is H&A Cut. You will need to see it physically/graphically to prove it

GIA and AGS have different criteria for determining their highest CUT grade.. so base onthe HCA, if the stone in question is send to AGS it is a good chance that it would not meet the IDEAL critera. Personally a stone that is "worth it" would meet BOTH GIA Ex and AGS IDEAL ...that is just me

I just wan to make things clear that i'm not frm this trade or a representative of any jeweler. cos i dun wan to misrepresenting myself as anyone or frm anywhere. for eg, if u guys claim i was frm Charlotte Atelier, which i'm not, what will the boss of think?

by assuming and accusing me of my identity, (which i clearly said over n over agian that i represent myself as a consumer not frm this industry) proves wat kind of person u are... can't be trusted too?

I'm flattered to be seen as a person frm this trade. And i think as a person not frm the trade revealing so much has caused too much assumptions of my identity (especially if u are frm the trade itself. finding me a threat) And in order to figure it out, u guys go into lookin back to my previous post? like a 'real PI'... LMFAO... u could simply ask me up front? maybe u guys are too intelligent for that i guess... i dun mind making frens and as we are on this forum, we share an interest. i'm not here to make enemies, but just to voice out an opinion and i'm open to discuss.(which i think wad this forum is for isn't it?)

Basically, I'm not underestimating ur intelligence, but i can conclude that u think u are overly intelligent!

Qn. am i frm Yuen Tung? my answer is No. thou i'm flattered that some ppl here thinks I'm in this industry.

Haven't I answered them already frm the start?
Any other qns that might have been left out so far that I've not answered?
BTW, y is my dentity so sort after by u guys? wats the motive? it simply proves that one of u who wants to know my identity so badly(who might be a seller or vendor) is threatened i guess...

zhiz22, i believe u are sincere consumer cos back then, u asked me abt prices on diamonds, be4 u even bought urs... "stating u need all the help u could get because buying a diamond is a big thing to u", and i sincerely commented on the diamond base on the specs u gave me, as in prices and my views. I have nv force u to buy or not to buy from whoever because i believe u spent some time on lookin for a good buy for urself. Maybe after u got ur diamond, the seller who sold u the diamond might have felt threatened by my qoutes or Qns i adviced u to ask him/her, therefore today u are trying to investigate my identity? LMFAO... interesting...

Price for the stone itself should be ard SGD580 + setting abt <SGD300. Price Wise is okay

As for cut:
Light Return Very Good
Fire Very Good
Scintillation Very Good
Spread or diameter for weight Very Good
Total Visual Performance 3 - Very Good
