Think most of the riots now are in pattaya and hope it will not spread to Bangkok.
Due to the coming songkran (Thai new year) i think they will have a stand still for a period of time and resume back the protest after weeks ba,
I will be going on the 18 Apr for 4 days and hope nothing happens... just cross my fingers.
I hae been there during last nov during the Yellow shirt protest, it seen every normal there just avoid those protest areas and nothing will go wrong.
How pple protest they need to eat and sleep and **** and earn money oso, so most likely they wont touch MBK, Pranutam, Sukhumit are ba.

as long as they dun cut off the airport again (which they said they won't) .... i think BKK is still safe. Just stay away from the victory monument, and the government areas. I just came back from business there, and seems okay.

its still safe generally, but on thursday they protested at mbk area. chula uni had their classes cancelled as a result. so its abit unstable. but safety thus far still ok for tourists. just avoid yellow and red shirts.

Ya i booked my tickets under tigerairways. If i were to CNL my flights there will be a administrative charge of $50 per person. And i've already booked my hotel. the protest area is far from the tourists shopping spots in BKK?

so far the only damage to tourist is the yellow party force closure of the airport~ but the red party more better~ did not touch tourist~ their aim is against govt not against tourist~ they know tourist is their source of income~
