37k is reasonable for the MBA, my honest opinion.

From all the MBAs below, are all of them no specialisations? like MBA(Finance) etc? Or all of them are under "General"?

Thanks.

Well, I do a check, their on-campus part time executive MBA cost 17500 pounds, which is lesser than the 37k, if you take the current exchange rate.

I compare 2 others UK part-time executive MBA which has EXACTLY the same program in Singapore as their UK program, namely Nottingham, Birmingham and their MBA fees in singapore is much lower than their fees in UK. Especially for Birmingham which cost like only 24.5k and it is FULLY taught by the same UK lecturers who flew down.

Still considering the options.

is the duration of lancaster mba oncampus the same as in Singapore? Have to factor in the opportunity cost also, since for DL MBA , you do not have to quit ur job. Part time MBA in UK, does it mean we have to find a job in UK ?

I am just comparing, and wondering why the Lancaster MBA is so expensive in Singapore. As per my research, the norm will taught in Singapore will be cheaper one.

If I were to go to UK and study, I think I will chose a better MBA there, maybe the league of Warwick kind.

why do you say that most foreign MBA schools are here to rip off people? Did you have a negative experience?
NUS? 1) Enough of local education, 2) GMAT, 3) I heard that there are LOTS OF foreigners....

Have you applied for the June intake already?? I attended their preview late last year and they indicated to start in Jan, then in Apr. Now it seems to be postponed to June.

Im contemplating between Strathclyde and Lancaster both at $33k. Strathclyde on one hand has more grads (more common) while Lancaster being the new kid on the block would mean the pilot cohort would be guinea pigs susceptible to teething problems.

Im more keen on Lancaster but am worried the intake gets postponed if insufficient number of ppl apply for it.

Guys,

I have been checking MBAs recently too, and I realised that Lancaster MBA has higher rank then Manchester or even Warwick in the latest FT 2009 Global MBAs ranking.

I think Lancaster has a 3 year average rank of around 27 in the world. Stratchcylde, Manchester and Warwick is below it. Hence, I don't understand why some people say Warwick is better. BTW, how to study Warwick in Singapore? Is there a Warwick MBA in Singapore?

Among the 3 ( Manchester , lancaster , strathclyde) , manchester has the best ranking but is the most expensive.
Strathclyde has the most contact hours and is the most guided and is the cheapest among the 3. From the webby, it seems manchester has onli 25 contact hours so it has the least contact hours.Correct me if i am wrong. All 3 are taught by university faculty. Hope that helps.
Where did you read that Manchester is the best ranking? Manchester is ranked 32 and Lancaster is ranked 27 in the recent FT Global MBA 2009 ranking. Warwick is rank 37. Stratchcldye is 41.

did U read carefully into how they go about ranking b4 quoting FT as being the chef source?
if U buy into FT that much, why not go Ceibs, China? just USD45,000 and its ranked ahead of MIT, NYU, Cambridge! even HKUST is ahead of oxbridge. both our local Uni ranked higher than Imperial, no wonder ppl with 2:2 and lower are thinking they can walk into Imperial!!!

if U looked at how Bizweek ranked non US MBA... how come oxford made it but we are missing HKUST/CEIBS etc??
Bizweek load of crap?
http://www.businessweek.com/bschools/rankings/

and WSJ ranking... ya granted it old in 2007
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1189...we_banner_left

Economist also has their ranking. in 2007 HKUST is ahead of oxford and Wharton! seem like FT is very credible, bible of all bible?
http://www.all-rankings.com/rank.php?r=a9215a1c16

the 2008 ranking also had HKUST ahead of Insead.
http://mba.eiu.com/index.asp?layout=2008rankings

might as well spend the HKD183,500 and go Shenzhen or HK do MBA. cheap and certainly give 1 an edge over those oxbridge grads. Don't know who will spend 31K in pounds!! almost double of HKUST. i am pretty certain cost of living also up there.. maybe double too!
