I was wondering does it use up more power than normal switch ? Or less OO

If not in use does it also consume power ?

ofcourse the homeplug consumes power - it's just another networking device but shrink into a small form factor. there's also firmware patches available too for homeplug.

trying to find a way to stream movies/music via my laptop in my room to my main PC in the living room. as it's near my TV, i may occasionally plug it in there for bigger resolution. of course, to surf internet for the 2 PCs too.

my wireless keep dropping, and i'm constantly in the 1Mbps rage. it's frustrating really. was wondering if homeplug can help.

I actually got a pair before during my IPTV trial. It works I can say. But I did not test out any variance comparing direct cable vs home plug. I do expect some degration since the powerline may be not in good condition.

Quite keen to see any test result.

Please count me in for a pair or even two! My wireless media player doesn't work as advertised and I'm also intending to setup a media player in the bedroom.

My bro desktop in his room is connected via LAN cable into my room's MIO modem. As the cable are exposed. It will be great if homeplug can removed the unsightly looks of the LAN cable.
