haha.after looking at hwz,i nv look at n96 again.it's either n95 8gb or n85
yea...if you examine all the details one by one....all specs almost 100% identical....just screen size diff most obvious....but i dun like N85 keypad...

another close one wld be Nokia 5800 XpressMusic...higher batt life, but 3.2 mpg cam, althout megapixels on camera phones is only a "myth"

Why can't Nokia get it right!!!

Look at Samsung's Innova.

8MP camera. 8GB storage. Nice comfortable keypads.

I would love to get the N85 for the battery life, 5MP camera n storage. But the damn keypad is not an improvement over N81!. They tried to make it look like a 6500 slider pads but it is smaller.

I don't want to get the Samsung bcos their software sucks!

Damn it Nokia. Get it right pleazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzze

Got this from Starhub yesterday @ $398 after $200 trade-in... yes price is ex but hv to make do to be early adopter. Anyway no regrets after having it for a day. The S60 3rd Edition FP2 platform has quite a no. of changes over FP1, namely:
- vertical icon bar during standby (FP1 only had horizontal)
- menu view has "horseshoe" and "v-shaped" (FP1 only has Grid and List)
- audio themes (able to define tones for slide up/down, menu open/exit, even bground music! )
- fade in/fade out of menu, open out/close in of programs
and more which are not very significant. But overall, am a whole lot more appreciative of Symbian platform over, say SE's, Samsung's or even iPhone's.

i personally have no problems with the 'flat' keypad. definitely prefer it over n82's 'chiclets'. someone mentioned speaker distorted, no such issue for me. No lag experienced either.

only thing that bugs me now is how much of a fingerprint magnet it is.. those with oily skin/sweaty palms may want to give this a miss

Just got my N85 today. Its my frist N Series phone. So far, it looks promising. The screen looks bright and crisp. The brown back is refreshing as I always had a black phone. The glossy plastic in the front is a fingerprint magnet. I find the navigation buttons a bit hard to press. However, the keypad is fine. Music playback quality through earphones is very good eventhough it cannot match the Samsung Innov8 I had before getting this. Camera is good and takes decent pictures in good light. Yet to try the night shots. Overall, its quite a good all-in-one phone.

Only one gripe. The slider is a bit wobbly. Anyone else's the same? Thanks.

This means it still carries the N95 slider problem?
