Help please: Aztech Homeplug HL109EP

I am using 2 HL109EP - one connect to my Dlink 655 (on SNBB) and the other to a network media device (Popcornhour). No problems.
Last nite, I removed the HL109EP from the Popcornhour and re-paired it. I wanted to use this hp for my 2nd PC to share the SNBB network. The 2nd PC was on MOL which I had disconnected from the Cable modem earlier.

That's where the nightmare started...I couldnt pair the HPs as the Powerline LED was either red or amber. I did this more than 30x! When it was able to pair (ie both Power & Powerline LEDs were ON), I switched on both PCs and when I tried to access IE, both Powerline LEDs changed to either amber/red.

Today is the 2nd day without net-access....Can any one help??

The electrical cabling for 2nd PC may have problem OR is connected via different phrase at distribution point.

i did all those but still the same.
Bypass use of homeplug and go via normal connection starting with the primary PC and found the the ADSL light on the modem was 'OFF". Checked with SNBB tech support and they confirmed as well. SN will be onsite this Thursday.

Later found out from wife that my land-line (sharing with SNBB) was down last Thursday and she reported to ST. According to her, ST did recovery to the line and it normalized. However, I suspect they screwed up the BB connection.

Anyway, SNBB agreed not to bill me for the days without BB connection. Pissed.

Hi Tuakong,
Sorry about your plight with ST or SNBB. But IF there are any problems with the HomePlugs, do drop us a line or PM me, we'll respond as soon sa we can.

In the meantime, please check out our FAQ for a comprehensive understanding of powerline networking.

Thanks.

At least they accept responsibility. My past experience with them is that they will blame every other hardware you have before they say it's their fault...

after 8 frigging, angry, frustrating days, SN finally resolved my internet access. It all normalized on Friday (9/5) evening.
anyway, the officer called me this morning to inform me that they will waive 1/2 month of my subscription. Now, that's a happy ending.

HL109EP Cannot Pair/Cannot Factory Reset

sorry to BUMP this thread

Having similar problems with my 2 x HL109EP.

Also experienced it while I WAS with singnet, thinking it was just a problem with the 2Wire modem but now while I am using Starhub (Free 1mbps with HubstationHD ) the Homeplugs just refuse to PAIR even when I put them side by side on the same socket!

Factory reset via the black button at the bottom doesn't work, no response from the homeplugs. Tried to reset via the Homeplug Utility but it returns the message "Factory Reset Default Failed"

Already emailed Aztech but seeing that the weekend is here I am thinking I most probably won't get a reply till Monday so trying my luck here if any of you have the same problem can advise or take a chance that someone from the extra hardworking Aztech HQ staff might just happen to pass through

Thanks in advance!

Aztech HQ is probably just marketing or sales dept, come here for do guerilla free selling free ad space because they don't have official forum. You're likely to hear the reply to go office.

YES but if the problem can be resolved by some implementation on the client side then won't it make things much easier?

Hence I'm just throwing my problem out there to see if fellow forum members have faced the same problem and if by some good fortune the person managing the Aztech HQ account is also a techie (technical support was proffered to the OP in this thread) then perhaps someone can shed some light on my troubles.

Thanks for all your answers anyway guys
