using EEE 1000 linux(change to xp). working fine...
1. throw away your cruzer, i have no problem even plugged in a usb hdd(2.5" ide)
2. call singtel, i tried 2 times still wrong pin.. left 1 try dun want to waste time asking for puk code
it does not matter whether you plug in power adapter or running battery, it only means the usb controller cannot supply that current required for both device
not all usb device consume same amt of current oso

so is there any way to solve this prob. or it'll always b a prob. as long as im using this laptop?
could it b my cruzer and huawei E169 this 2 device conflict w each other?

if you want to use both together, I believe the only way is to get a self powered usb hub to address the likely root of the problem. Then again it may seems ridiculous to you to get a self powered usb hub when your usb ports are not used up, plus you need to plug in external power for it.
i oso have e same prob, using 8gb cruzer, in e end, i gave up... i use another thumbdrive...
oh im reli glad dat im nt e onli 1 havin prob. here...btw hav u figured out wat prob. is this? is it purely bcos e usb port unable to supply enough power to e device dat's y it gt disconnected automatically by itself?

not power problem, I said even power up a external 2.5" hdd also can...
