Any inputs from people who are already using DV7?

I'm planning to get this but it cost 3K. Is it worth the price?

Or are there any notebooks in the market that can be compared to DV7.

I like the 17" display and the BluRay drive. This are the 2 reasons why I'm choosing DV7.

Dear Mestocapio,

There's a lot of choices out there for a DTR 17-inch like the dv7. I believe there are a few models out there from Sony, Toshiba, Acer, Dell, etc that you can consider.

Of cos, each of these brands offer different solutions for different needs and you may want to do some quick research online for what you really need.

For example, having a Blu-ray drive on a notebook will definitely drive up the cost, so there aren't really any (cheap) ways to go around this.

We did like the dv7 that came to our labs for a review - however, the cost was something that we highlighted, but that's the price the consumer has to pay for the latest and shiniest.

Again, it really boils down to what you need to do with the notebook and remember, 17-inches aren't very portable, so if you're just looking for a blu-ray capable computer, there's always a desktop PC solution if you're none too picky.

Hope this helps you out.

Cheers,
Aloysius
