ZoneOut #3: The Battery War

As promised, here's our first ZoneOut video for 2009 featuring two notebooks with uber long battery lives - the Dell Latitude E6400 and the HP EliteBook 6930p. Did they meet the hype? Find out in our torture test!

Thumb down!
2.8Ghz CPU with 8GB ram and platter HDD
VS
2.4Ghz CPu with 3GB ram and SSD.

Even a kid will know who is the loser.

Hai there,

We mentioned during our test that we're using the ODD to stress test the system instead of the HDD/SSD so that the difference between using the HDD/SDD doesn't come into the factor too much.

(If you must know, using the SSD on the HP didn't make any difference besides about half an hour more juice time anyhows).

Also, the Dell and HP units were rated at 19 and 24 hours respectively, so there's already is a difference in terms of battery life. Our test is to see whether the units can measure up to the 19 and 24 hours claim when we put it to a more stressful test that what's used in normal productivity usage.

Hope this helps.
