Yo,
Sorry about the late reply, been busy due to CommunicAsia 2009!
Anyway, I'm glad that you brought up these points. We are always in the midst of refining our testing methods to fit the needs of our readers. To that extent, we're more than glad to know that what you would like to see in our reviews.
We'll take note of things such as the speaker phone clarity and the memory utilization. Of course, pre-loaded softwares will be the tipping point since we are now faced with multiple application stores trying to grab a piece of the pie.
One thing about the video testing though: we test our batteries based on video resolutions of 240 x 320, seeing as how this is the minimum resolution used on most phones in the market. There are times when we actually tinker with a higher quality video at 800 x 480, i.e. WVGA resolutions, to check out the quality and to also test its power efficiency. But for comparison purposes, we stick to the 240 x 320 video test. We could include a short mention of the video quality such as any visible frame rates lost during faster moving scenes.
Thanks for the suggestions, cheers!

It may probably be more useful to us consumers to compare phones which are currently being offered, such as its direct competitors like the Touch HD which seems to be of similar specifications, price and same OS. How about a comparison between video playback of higher quality video clips? Speaker phone sound clarity and quality? Default memory utilization when the phone just started without running any applications? Are there different softwares or applications offered that might tilt the balance of purchasing one phone over the other? Lastly, which phone offers more value for money given the current price?
Sorry if I gave too much irrelevant suggestions, but I find a couple of recent reviews not in sync with what consumers like myself really like to know.
