The Great DDR3 1600MHz Memory Showdown

AMD's shift to DDR3 memory with the Phenom II, coupled with falling prices for DDR3 memory modules, point to a turning point in the mainstream adoption of the newer memory standard. nice review, excellent findings.

would you think the same results would turn out for 6gb triple channel on 64bit Vista ?

Thank you sir

For the 6GB triple-channel kits, they use different memory chips and we reckon it would be similar to those used in the 4GB dual-channel memory kits because they use higher density memory chips.

But we can't be totally sure unless otherwise we strip the heat spreaders off them and check their ICs and performance.

However OS-wise, it shouldn't make a difference.

Hi, thanks for an excellent review. Could you please comment on which of the brands had the most difficult heatspreaders to remove? Thanks!
