very pissed for being tell off not to play soccer at basketball court

nt sure if i post at correct "section" or not...

but i was abit pissed... me and my younger cousin is playing soccer at basketball court at around 9+ at ard tpy lorong 1/3 blk 96 and 98...

we reach there about 9.0 something at nite... playing a game of shooting ev 10 goal nt scored will have to run about 8-10 rounds as punishment... was playing for about almost 9.30pm then 2 police officer come and ask us nicely not to play at the basketball court..

we walked and moved on to play at nearby streetsoccer court at nearby till the light close there..

but seriously does police have the right to intefere in such matters?

1) im not making alot of noise here... the rate and the noise which the ball hit the ground is definitely lower than the bouncing of basketball...

2) what rite does the resident there have the right to complain huh? as in nt as if the light is off then i still playing... for fark sake its not even 10 and the lights not even off...

some might argue that basketball court cant be used as soccer court? i hv a case that as long as im not disturbing people playing basketball or if there's people playing basketball there...

if not the court is empty... it is up to me to do whatever i like with it...

finally those residence who lived there have to put up with the noise level with the benefit that they get for having a basketball court right under their block.. comon lar if i have basketball and soccer court below my house.. i be loving it man...

well a basketball court is not a soccer court - common sense.
If you have problems with that, then you should plead your case with the officers that stopped you?

Then they should disallow people doing taichi/chigong on such "inappropriate" places too.

i see ur point abt playin when there're no ppl playing hoops there... and i kinda agree with you there, but thing is, soccer usually means a big grp of 8 or so ppl. and over time, if the same soccer ppl keep playin there, ppl who want to play ball there will not be able to play there anymore.

as for the mata, i suppose they were just doin their job.

Dpds if u play like some kids at my downstairs park, the basketball court has no enclosure fence, so when they kick hard, there have been innocent people quite far away who kenna hit.

my estate downstair also i also play street soccer, last time the the hoop is supported by "2 legs" can use as goal post, now only "1 leg" so cannot, now we do really street style, take cones and those construction poles as goal post.

we petition to the town council to either let us play or at least build a street soccer court. surely it is not sexpensive, cause other places got build. And as residents, we pay the bills and we should have some right to request, esp when we gather a bunch of us to rquest for a court.

sorry for the WOT, but must defend your rights as residents.

and on my left and on my right theres 2 children play ground and a small circle parade square there, they could have build a streetsoccer court instead of stupid playground.. cos from what i observe... the playground in the circle parade square is for those problem kids and teenager to go inside playground and smoke and those young couple to go inside and do funny things..

i hv nt seen it directly but there was once the ball go astray there and i saw couple inside and they see me like see ghost like that lol

Nothing 'wrong' with what you did. Since there is a soccer court nearby, you should just go there straight. It'll save you some embarassment. (and some bandwidth here)

Ok.

Next time, when you reach the basketball court. Play your game. For every 10 goals not scored, run to the soccer court. After awhile, both your cousin and you will be there already. The continue playing there.
