anyone using biostar ta790gx a3+

my Phenom II x4 955 is running very loud at 5000+ rpm @ 40 deg.

how can i make a optimal setting?

and best setting for gaming with my igp? lol waiting for 5700 series to release

u got go power management n sel minimal power? use cpu-z check if ur multiplier go chg or not. do u oc?

Either...
1) CnQ Disabled
2) Casing airflow not good enough
3) Power managment settings.

If nothing works..maybe wanna try get a 3rd party HSF for your CPU. There are alot in the market that is priced reasonably and relatively quiet.

power management as in the green power utility right? i set it to typical . still running 5000+ rpm sia.

btw i used arctic cooler 5 as the thermal paste.

its always at x16. after running auto smart fan in bios, it is now 4200+ rpm @ 40 deg.,
is it normal? how to change power settings? i only know the green power utility got the 4 phases..

xp need to install AMD Processor Driver Version 1.3.2.0053. amd site cpu driver page seems down. get from biostar site...
