how is it possible that 1/2 a month's worth of rainfall can rain in a few hours?

november is wet month.. rain like 3 times a week. how is it possible that 6-10 days worth of rain can fit in a few hours causing the floods? like... cannot imagine... anybody can sexplain?

Widespread & Warmer earth's surface, resulting in more moisture being uplifted to form rain clouds?

ppl in sg are v sheltered
when incidents like this happen we are shocked out of our wits
we forget natural disaster have no respect for nation or creed
of cos this little flood cant qualify as a natural disaster

my friend from india told me this is wat flood
small case only his home town experience such every month
he think we are making a commotion out of nothing
