Does the keyboard come together? Considering this or a Surface 3 for my next tablet.

Nice! It would be interesting to compare this vs surface3 and see which one is more suitable. :-)

Sony has announced the Bluetooth Keyboard BKB50 for the Xperia Z4 Tablet. The keyboard has a special hinge that allows the tablet to easily dock with the tablet. The docking station allows the tablet to be ‘closed’ shut just like a real laptop. It also has a 0-130 degree tilt to find that comfortable viewing angle.

When it is docked, Sony has introduced a special quick application launcher on the tablet (similar to the Windows Start menu) so that you can check your recent apps. The keyboard has an integrated touchpad, NFC for pairing and switches for the power button and Bluetooth.

The keyboard has a 430 mAh battery, good for a one-month battery according to Sony (typing 2 hours/day) and can be recharged using a micro USB port. A battery indicator light is also included to let you know if you’re about to run out of power. The BKB50 Bluetooth Keyboard is relatively lightweight at 383 grams and seems like a great solution for the power users out there.

Separate, FYI Android have MS office so you can skip Surface 3
if you want MS office.

Verdict
Sonys tablets have always been excellent, but have failed to stand out from the pack. The Xperia Z4 Tablet is the best yet and is thinner and lighter than most, with a great screen and solid battery life.

Its also waterproof, without any fiddly doors covering the charging or headphones ports, which means theres basically no downside to being waterproof.

But the best bit is when the tablet is combined with the keyboard, making a very capable and simple laptop replacement that is thinner, lighter and lasts longer on battery than most.

Pros: Thin, light, waterproof, excellent keyboard, microSD card slot, 2K screen

Cons: Not quite as sturdy feeling as some, expensive, variable battery life, no Gorilla Glass

So as most of you would know ... I have this One Rule ...

But seriously, yesterday i was informed of the imminent launch of the Tablet Z4 with a Sony BKB10 as a free gift at RRP of about S$998 on the week fo June 12th ... my heart actually didn't skip a beat.

Well, because Tablet Z3 Compact is such a snug fit in my lifestyle (not forgetting the superb battery life) that I really don't have the heart to leave her ...

Ok, i still have about two weeks to decide ...

Need to get into Zen mode. ...

But good news, Tablet Z4 is launching soon ...

Go ask ur friendly Sim Lim Sony Store for details. Say TGB sent u ...
