Managed to read the KBS REITS prospectus and as Opps-gal pointed out, the structure is the same as Manulife REITS, so from taxation viewpoint no different with Manulife REITS.

Also waiting after listing.

Manulife REITS offered 45 millions shares for public trance. This REITS offers 34 millions shares.

Manulife REITS 1st day and 1st week close price at 4.5% lower than IPO price.

This REITS may also open lower than IPO price?

Nobody knows, plan to just wait and see first.

Manulife was the first US REIT which caused the fear & the initial fall.
Croesus went through the same fear.

The fearful had missed the $opportunity$.

Bought manulife below IPO price and it was a great investment.

Don't mind waiting for a buying opportunity for this one.

As you said it, Manulife was the first US Reit to list - so no comparables at that time of listing so no one know its fair value on debut. Do you all think 88 ct still fair value? or 90 or 84 or below 80? Unless someone kind enough to make proper comparison bet the 2 such as sizes, type of properties owned, locations & track records & even bet the reit managers, the opening day prices will just be a guessing game.:s22:

How to know the exchange rate when buying from sgx platform, other than the tikam $2 type? Till now, I never try getting any other currency using sgx, other than apply rights and ipo.
