Khazanah will probably take it private and the Malaysian government give them financial support for some years. It's terrible luck for MAS.
Also, only somewhat related, but I am quite disappointed with SIA and their first response that they were not using Ukrainian airspace. That's not even just insensitive, that was an outright lie. They had more flights through there than MAS. It could have happened to them.
See the chart on other airlines that recently used the airspace: Don't Blame Malaysia Airlines - James Fallows - The Atlantic
1) delisting and restructuring
2) let it bankrupt and start again
will continue to monitor and observe when the restructuring plan is out likely btw 6 to 9 months time. need to look out sign of fresh fund injecting plan n the stock price.
but safest is to wait until the restructuring plan first.
A recapitalization is inevitable
They can't possibly let the national airlines collapse
BT today, mentioned one person who asked not to be named said proposals will be presented to Khazanah, the majority shareholders incld taking the company private or allowing it to go bankrupt and then renegotiating union contracts.
allowing it to go bankrupt?
it will have serious repercussions on Khazanah's other listed companies!but then, never under-estimate what the Malalysians can come out with
