Imo. Dont do opportunitistic trading.
The blade goes both ways.

If you have money, continue to buy counters for mid and long term.

1) delisting and restructuring
2) let it bankrupt and start again

Khazanah will probably take it private and the Malaysian government give them financial support for some years. It's terrible luck for MAS.

Also, only somewhat related, but I am quite disappointed with SIA and their first response that they were not using Ukrainian airspace. That's not even just insensitive, that was an outright lie. They had more flights through there than MAS. It could have happened to them.

See the chart on other airlines that recently used the airspace: Don't Blame Malaysia Airlines - James Fallows - The Atlantic

Yes. How was it possible that SIA was not using Ukrainian airspace when one of their flights were just kilometres away from the MAS flight?

It appears to be a common route in fact to fly across Ukraine to reach to other European destinations.

MAS is very very unlucky.

will continue to monitor and observe when the restructuring plan is out likely btw 6 to 9 months time. need to look out sign of fresh fund injecting plan n the stock price.

but safest is to wait until the restructuring plan first.

A recapitalization is inevitable

They can't possibly let the national airlines collapse

allowing it to go bankrupt?
it will have serious repercussions on Khazanah's other listed companies!but then, never under-estimate what the Malalysians can come out with :s13:

not too sure, but everyone knows MAS really need a inside out restructuring. not to mention its huge manpower cost.

but i also believe they may come out a grand plan, breaking up the units with bonds issuance with sound guarantee, a sound plan? is better right?

They are taking it private. Don't expect Carl Icahn to kick up some dust... for the shareholders like DELL. What IF they let it go bankrupt ... like Japan Airlines, shareholders get pittance.
