Sorry for the late reply, haven't use it for quite a while since the change of the fan. I've reverted back to the old fan to keep the NAS cooler. You're right, the new fan doesn't spin as fast so the temperature of the NAS is constantly at 50+ degrees
The replacement fan is not running at optimal speed due to low voltage supply. Can consider doing this mods but will require soldering skill.
