I am curious. Tab 3 does not have s-pen, but we still can buy a stylus(that has the s-pen functionalities) and use it , right? Can also install s-pen related apps in tab 3?

Sorry, I am total newbie in this area, so need some guide.

Haha....but the galaxy note 8 price is twice the tab 3, is not just due to the s-pen, but also the processor speed, ram, etc...

no u cant...normally.
its not just the S-pen...its the pen and the screen that works with it.

i cant use S-pen on S4, tab 2...

Nope there's no digitizer functionality in built onto the screen of Tab 3 so you cant use S Pen (or any digitizer) and the extra functions from them.

The screens are different. S pen is a inductive stylus thus working well with the wacom screen on the note. Tab is using normal screen so using s pen is not able.
The normal stylus that are cheaper than s pen u see outside are able to use if I'm not wrong. But it is another type of stylus called the capacitive stylus. No s pen functions on this one.

Ridiculous pricing for a dual core tablet when the note 8 wifi can go as low as $469. I'm guessing that the tab 3 8" will be selling at around $429 at shops like adix. With the n7 2nd gen now out the tab 3 will generate even lesser interest

Cant say I m surprised bec Samsung is just comparing with the RRP of their Note models.

My prediction 3 weeks ago was a price of S$449 - not that far off:

But if Apple can sell their US$329 ipad mini at S$448, why is Samsung pricing their US$299 Tab 3 8.0 at S$468? Not as ridiculous as Asus's pricing but still not good. At this price, I would just get the iPad Mini

This is fine considering Note 8.0 LTE sells for $788 at launch. Just wait 2 months and you'll see the magic.

Still, when compared to competing brands similar offerings, Tab 3 8.0 is indeed less competitive with regards to performance, features and price.

Samsung needs to wake up - the whole Tab 3 range is a joke!

1) Tab 3 7.0 - still the same 1024x600 from the original Tab 1 launched in 2010! Still dual-core and still 1gb RAM like the Tab 2. Even worse - who in their right mind would pay US$199 for this piece of cr*p when for US$229, they can get the Nexus 7 II with 1920X1200, quad-core, 2gb RAM etc etc

2) Tab 3 8.0 - selling at S$468 when the Note 8.0 can be bgt at S$469! Resolution is only 1280x800. The iPad Mini is priced lower in Singapore even though it has a higher US price (US$329) than Samsung (US$299). PLUS, in 3 months or so, the NEW iPad Mini will be launched, prob with retina display and at the same S$448 price. My advice - forget about this 8.0 and wait for the new iPad Mini. At least, with the Note 8 S-pen, they can justify the premium price but with the Tab 8, theres no reason it shd command a higher price than the iPad Mini

3) Tab 3 10.1 - it's a joke for Samsung (or anyone) to still be selling a new 10.1" tablet in 2013 with a 1280X800 resolution!
And asking for US$399!

STRIKE 3!

These prices cannot last because NOBODY who has any sense will bite. In 2-3 months, there will be heavy discounting - mark my words.
