Now that Google has released official Nexus 7 specifications...
I've got a question.

What would a 1920x1200 pixel screen bring to users if the Nexus 7 is only a 1280x800 pixel screen?
Granted one is 10.1" and the other is 7".
Applications, besides HD video, must make use of the higher resolution in the first place.
And it seemed that for the moment, event with JB, 1280x800 seemed to be the standard for now.

Yeah! Office Depot still has stock for delivery ;-)
Now that there is talk of Google 10" tablet round the corner, may want to wait-see.
US$499 is a good price for the Infinity though.

Any idea if the warranty is international? If it's just North-American warranty then kinda dangerous to get right?

This is the warranty policy:
ASUSTeK Computer Inc. -Support- Warranty Policy ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity TF700T

No direct answer. Guess need to call service centre to find out.

Ahh thanks for the link! This section was in the page:
"ASUS international service is only applicable to countries that have been authorized by ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC, The service we provide is based on Limited Warranty Service. ( In America area only supports for USA, Canada and Mexico ; Central and South America countries don’t support international service)"

So it seems that the North American warranty is okay. But yeah I'll call them up and ask about it. Thanks a lot! :)

EDIT: Okay seems like the warranty is limited to NA only D:

Apparently everytime you go to the service centre you need to pay a service fee. On top of that there's also the fee for the parts and all. Not sure if it's worth it to buy online now =/

Wait for the rumored Nexus 10 then do a comparison :)
The higher resolution is very good for watching movies etc. else the Transformer Prime is a good buy if the price is right. There isn't much applications supporting the higher resolution screen right now.

Wow! So expensive here.
32GB without dock going for USD499 only. Maybe should wait for the rumoured Nexus 10" tablet before taking the plunge. Or get Prime. Difference is in slightly faster CPU, RAM and higher resolution screen. But note that the majority of apps today don't support that higher resolution yet. Good for videos though.

Also, read online that the Prime dock has bit more battery life than the Infinity dock. The Prime dock can be used on the Infinity.

Actually, about the same in cost if order online for a similar config of 64GB model+dock from US.

In US:
64GB model @ 599USD
Dock @ 149USD
Online order & delivery : est 55USD (via BH online w UPS delivery)
Total est: 803USD

to convert to SGD & plus GST by custom.
803 x 1.25(est rate) +7%=SGD1074

But well, Asus Singapore only package the top configuration to release in Singapore & don't give us any choices (except color) ..:slant:

We should not take delivery into consideration...
US market would be cheaper by $150.
You pointed out right though... We don't have a choice. The Aussies don't have a choice too.
Why can't they just release a 32GB version, and also make the dock optional?
In fact, if you can get a Prime dock, go for it! Then just get the 32GB version from US :s22:
