As per subject, not sure anyone is eyeing this tablet? Specs are pretty up to date with a Thunderbolt 3 USB Type C, USB 3.0 and 2.0 connection.

First review.

Some issues with the cooling with the pre-production unit. Hope they fix it in the actual release.

If the software is bloatware free then it can definitely compete both specs and price wise.

From a visual perspective, I don't really like the "hinge" design.

I am skeptical that it is bloat ware free. Most laptops from the usual big brands have quite a fair bit of "extra" application installed. Unless you are looking at those Windows Signature versions. It's only a matter of how much bloatware have they installed.

got this over the surface pro or wait for galaxy book to be launched. didnt regret it. main issue would be the connectivity since i do not have a hdmi port. but other than that, battery life is great, much better than the surface pro.

Hi Bro, I'm now at the junction of Miix 720 and Surface Pro 4 to choose. I'm currently using Surface Pro 4 which is issued by my company so somehow I got an idea about surface but for Miix, I have no idea. And the product is still new, so there is not much review or comparison between these 2 models.

Since you have using Miix for about 5 days (from your post), could you kindly let us know your personal review? like at least what are good and what are not base on your personal view.

Thanks in advance.

apologies. got this at the it fair for 1.7k+ been good. outlasted a colleague's pro 4. pen is slightly hit and miss. i liked the stylus like samsung phones, but since it is sized like a normal pen, holding it has been comfortable.

rather good. prefer this to the surface 4 that i tried out. ports are definitely better than the surface pro

Thank you bro. I bought yesterday night for my daughter's use. I will make some comparison with Surface Pro 4 during this weekend and share later.

Hachi.tech (S$1,899.00 with some free gift) or wait for Courts' Megatex from 1st to 3rd July. Buy at Megatex can expect to get around $1700 with free gift from Lenovo. (Microsoft Office 365P, 2nd year Carry in warranty, 1st year Carry in ADP)

Connectivity is typically a problem for a hybrid like this. You will definitely need to get an adapter. I got mine from Lazada which gives me 1 USB 3.0, 1 HDMI and 1 USB Type C charging port for around 15 bucks. Even on the MS Surface Pro 4, you will also need an adapter to convert the Display Port to HDMI.

1.7K is a good price. Comparing this with SP4, I think this is so much more value for money.

In short, I have been using it for awhile. While I have no SP4 to compare with, I feel it beats SP4 in many ways,
1) Up to date hardware, including the connectivity ports,
2) Comes with a great Type Cover (SP4 needs to purchase it separately)
3) More sensitive touch screen
4) Higher resolution display (though the colour is less accurate, but can be calibrated)

What I feel that can be better is the cooling on the Lenovo Miix 720. The temps are reasonable, but at the expense of the fan ramping up pretty fast.
