Is S2 9.7 a worthy upgrade from S 10.5??? I'm using it mainly for watching dramas etc.

Tab S 10.5 would be much better since its widescreen and bigger. Screen size wise, Tab S2 9.7 would be same as Tab S 8.4 in terms of width.

You can skip Innergie. Louzy and expensive.
Both necessary the best, but confirmed the most expensive in the market.

I use the same cable with the original charger and it can charge.

So cable is not the culprit

I just got this tablet yesterday and tried charging via wall USB adapter and micro USB cable, both not branded. The Tab S2 indicates "Not Charging" but I just left it in and the battery still reached 100% eventually.

Typically, newer Samsung tablet use 5.3v USB charger. Some USB charger although has rating of 5v, but in fact lower then 5v when draw at high current. My old tab 3 has this problem. Tab s seem ok, not sure about Tab s2.

USB Port 1: 5V DC / 2.1A
USB Port 2: 5V DC / 2.1A

Output Power

I feel that the tab s2 is really great in the sense that it doesn't lag and everything runs smoothly. I can put micro sd card and its effing light. Only downside for me so far is the battery life. I never had to recharge my tablet often when I was using iPad. My S2 needs daily charging if not once in two days. Oh and yes I can ONLY charge normally with the supplemented cable and adaptor. No other wire or even iPad adaptor works. Lol.

Went to Samsung Plaza Sing last evening and had a look at the demo set. It's so light!!! The 8" screen size looked so tiny that it reminds me of a Kindle... Contemplating to trade in my Tab S 10.5 LTE for the 9.7 LTE... :s11:
