8 days if only shopping, very boring. Can go Taichung - fengjia night market, things are slightly cheaper than Taipei. Jiufen, shifen, keelung, yilan and more.
ok booked end sep to first week of october. fly in thurs exit on friday.

first two days at wulai spa hotel. kind of need iteniary for stuff near by there to do. like Wulai Falls and Atayal Museum and maybe the Wulai Old street

From there we move on to TPE Main Station one of the hotels.

Want to be at Pingxi on Mid Autumn Night so I probably think we will be doing Pingxi, Huotong Cat village, Jiufen and Shifen on that oct 3-4th date.
Important is to see the Pingxi Lantern festival on oct 4th http://www.taiwannews.com.tw/en/news/3086110

so i probably need some stuff to fill sep 30 to oct3 and probably oct 5th as well.

oct 6 flying back in mid afternoon.

hotels were booked already hence the 2 night or 1.5 days at wulai.

5 nights in taipei dairy hotel near the main station.

actually planned to go a week later just after 4th october but the scoot fare was a bit cheaper during the week before. so decided to book the airfare and scout the hotels. which thankfully was the last 2 rooms in that particular hotel.

need to take some exit z4 of z10 at taipei main station. z4 if we don't want to haul the luggage up a flight of stairs and go thru the underground mall. z10 is the direct exit but need to haul luggage apparently. one medium size and one small luggage but mostly empty so we can buy stuff.

Take bus to tms then no need worry about hauling luggage.

If you not good in planning itinerary then ask your GF plan. Or the two of you sit down together and try to start somewhere.

One easy way is google. There are many travellers who will post their entire trip itinerary/reports on their blogs. If you bother to read through, some will even step by step tell you how to get to each particular attraction. It's not hard to find such blogs - just whether you want to spend time sit down and read/research or not only.

Go to Taiwan's Visitors Association to ask.

Otherwise engage a driver who will bring you around,

If you are referring to the street Cosmos hotel is at, exit 3 from TMS basement.

Agree, if you lazy to read then try youtube. There are a lot in Chinese from tw food and travel show. English are mainly blog.
For a start, just write down what interest you then separate them in days then list out here for further correction by all expert here.
