Beware of a Singapore Cheat (Old Man) in BKK

Approached me last time outside Centrepoint Petchaburi. I just listened and walked away.

Sad to say I was conned by this old man few days ago at platinum mall macdonald

was browsing through some people blog.

Went to those "ATAS" places like Siam paragon, MBK, etc.
Hahah as i'm into cheap stuffs, nothing caught my eye.
Oh ya, something BIG happened on that day.
Lent $2.5 k Baht to an old Singaporean man who claimed that he got robbed.
And in the end, we realised he is a con man.
Basically, we got cheated by a Singaporean, LOL #theirony
Because of that, i was blacklisted from my dad due to my stupidity.
Sigh.

5mins ago just encountered this old man at platinum mall McDonald.

We were eating and he came and asked "hello, are you Singaporeans? (In Chinese)" I turned and saw his face and immediately I know he is the cheat. Thanks to photos uploaded previously on this thread.

I wave no to him pretending I didn't understand what he was saying. He just said "oh sorry sorry (in Chinese)" and left.

I just saw him at platinum mall on Friday too! Immediately thought of him as the cheat. Friendly at first then said he lost his wallet.LOL. lost wallet liao still so happy can strike up conversation sia. Rejected him after awhile and he left after apologizing. I wonder how he got the new biometric passport even after he was reported.

Same here, I think me and my friend saw him... Cause he fits thy description and also, he doesn't looks like he's Thais or from China That cheater did not open up his mouth (*maybe me and my friend really look too much like Thais), just look at us and show some begging hand signal for food and of cause we rejected him.

Conman with a fake name

This cheat in Bangkok is operating under a fake name as not to expose himself.


The description of Mr Than matches the one of a conman whom I encountered in Beach Road in 2002. He pretended to be an old neighbour of mine with the name of 'Ah Heng'. He had tricked me into lending him $50. His modus operandi is similar to the cheat- Mr Than.
