australia seems to be a much popular choice....canada seems to be really popular with hongkongers, taiwanese, vietnamese....if more singaporeans are there, prob there will be more asian food choices too
There are a ton of Asian food choices along with Asian supermarkets such as T&T. Singaporean food is lacking, though...there was one in the downtown Toronto Chinatown but it closed about 4-5 years back.

Depends Quebec also not hard, my pal doing MBA at McGill got her PR 1 yr into her MBA program
You really need to know French if you intend to work in Quebec, not so much in Montreal. Discrimination is pretty high in some places.

Yeah, education is probably the best way or marrying a Canadian. Farmer is not much of an option for SGs.

Is Lion City @ Mississauga still around? There's also this small stall at a food court in Markham. Pacific mall used to have this overpriced Singaporean restaurant as well

Vancouver is already the warmest city in Canada. Coldest I've experienced there is -8 . Warmest is about 27 .. the rain and overcast skies can be quite gloomy in non-summer months.

South of Vancouver there is Richmond, East Asian majority. Toronto is better for ethnic integration imo.. Vancouver still quite cliqueish / groupie

I've heard of Lion City but can't recall ever going there. I've been to Pac Mall a couple of time too but it's nothing special to me.

My place in Toronto is downtown so I go to the downtown Chinatown with occasional visits to the Chinatown on Gerrard on the east side.

You can go and get an agricultural degree at Guelph University...then pay a large sum to buy up some farmland near Toronto and grow Asian veggies. For the past few years it's been a real growth business. (No pun intended.) The Asian population in TO is now over 50% and Asian food is becoming much more common.

Even though Vancouver is beautiful... it's bittersweet -- You feel the gorgeous scenery taunting you as you have no one to enjoy it with. Vancouver is quite hard to make friends. The people generally are somewhat cold and guarded... superficially friendly/outgoing.

Also felt like I had duties to perform back in SG anyway. I didn't want to run away without trying my best back home.
