Hi guys, let say if i don't have time to purchase sim card at the airport cause i need to catch a conference. where else can i purchase sim card??? how much?
A proper store or shop should be able to help you.
But you will encounter language problems. The shop might not help you to set up the data plan properly.

I bought mine in a local market stall. Took a bit of struggle to set up the data as they sell sim cards with only calling capabilities.

If you're in the mood for a bit of adventure, can stay further away from D1, like D3,5 or Binh Thanh. Chinatown is in D5 by the way.
how about district 4?

D4 has lots of oc shops. But not sure if there are anything interesting. But heard from the locals that this area is messy. Triads and gangs that kind of stuff.

Thinking of going to Hanoi during CNY, then travel down to HCMC. Wonder if there's anything to do during that time? What is the cheapest and fastest transport from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh?

No, but still need to be careful. Don't be flashy, and be careful with your phone. Avoid conflicts and treat locals with respect.
