You can't. After installed + all the patches, the size of windows is about 16GB. Most ppl would use cloning software such as Acronis to clone an image out and store it on a portable hdd.

Either that or you use a product key finder to extract it out and download the windows 7 iso from the internet.

When your OS crashed or slowed down, just perform a clean format and use the product key to activate again.

Backup is one method.
Usually new laptop &or desktop without OS Disc do have one Recovery feature.
That's backup the OS via Recovery to CD or DVD.
But it only allow to do it once.
Thereafter will not be available.

But do note that you do not have any updates.
Hence I prefer to clone Win 7 system partition to external HDD regularly, ie after several Win updates.

-Open a notepad
-paste the below text
-save as productkey.vbs
-double click on the vbs and you will be able to check your product keys.

Set WshShell = CreateObject("WScript.Shell")
MsgBox ConvertToKey(WshShell.RegRead("HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\DigitalProductId"))

Function ConvertToKey(Key)
Const KeyOffset = 52
i = 28
Chars = "BCDFGHJKMPQRTVWXY2346789"
Do
Cur = 0
x = 14
Do
Cur = Cur * 256
Cur = Key(x + KeyOffset) + Cur
Key(x + KeyOffset) = (Cur \ 24) And 255
Cur = Cur Mod 24
x = x -1
Loop While x >= 0
i = i -1
KeyOutput = Mid(Chars, Cur + 1, 1) & KeyOutput
If (((29 - i) Mod 6) = 0) And (i <> -1) Then
i = i -1
KeyOutput = "-" & KeyOutput
End If
Loop While i >= 0
ConvertToKey = KeyOutput
End Function
