10.0.10586.164

Just this morning, at Singapore time 2am, Microsoft released Windows 10 Mobile Build 10586.164 to devices that shipped with Windows 10, as well as Insiders on the Slow and Release Preview rings. As per usual, the latest cumulative update does not introduce any new features and it is mostly focused on improvement for the OS and bug fixes. Here’s the official changelog for build 10586.164:

◾ Improvements for the reliability of app notifications, including text messages and alarms not ringing as scheduled.
◾ Improvements for text message backup to reduce data and battery usage.
◾ Fixes for Microsoft Edge with address bar suggestions showing late or persisting during navigation, “Close all tabs” not closing all tabs, and Word Flow on the address bar not functioning as expected.
◾ Fix for a problem where the Microsoft account was not detected by the Outlook Mail, Outlook Calendar and People app. Attempting to add a new contact in this state caused the People app to crash for some users.
◾ Fix for a problem that caused the Wi-Fi connection to temporarily switch off after prolonged use for some users.
◾ Fix for a problem that caused first-party app updates to fail to install successfully for some users, leaving the apps in state where they cannot be launched.
◾ Improvements for battery usage, Bluetooth connectivity, and OS reliability.

If you're already on the Redstone build, you won't be receiving this updates, you'll need to use the WDRT to flash back to the Threshold build in order to receive this updates.

I use a type C adaptor to connect my OTG to my 950 but it doesn't work

are you connecting a portable HDD to your 950? the phone does not has enough power for that, thumb drive is working fine.

I'm not good at taking photo either. But on a recent dinner with my fellow colleagues, everyone was impressed by the photo taken with my 950 XL :)

You can search internet for tips on Lumia camera photography.

Bro, what are the issues you're facing with the Redstone build? It is actually quite good on my 950 XL, minor issues do exist, nothing that is major.
Could it be some issues peculiar to the dual sim variant?

I have not read all the many pages here and I have been using Windows OS since the very first Lumia was launched. Now on 930 waiting to get a 950XL. Since Telco is not offering, thinking of getting it direct from Amazon.

Anyone here currently using a 950/950XL from Amazon? I thought the price looks attractive, even after shipment.

At my next recontracting next month, I will just get any popular Android set and sell it off new to offset the price of my Lumia from Amazon.

I would think that bigger phone has higher demand of both the popular and less popular phone models, as such they can offer better buy back price than smaller phone shop.

S7/Edge too new liao, don't have the buy back pricing yet, you may want to check back MobyShop & WhyMobile at a later time for the S7 buy back pricing, use that as an indication when you sell it off.

I think B&H and eBay one is cheaper than that of Amazon one, especially if you're using vPost with the B&H purchase.

950 XL Dual SIM @ B&H = US 529.99 (appr. SG $733)
Free shipping to vPost US
vPost US to Singpore address approximately SG$40 + (custom fee depending the amount you declare)
Total should be around SG $800+

950 XL Dual SIM @ Amazon = US $595 - US$629
You'll have to go for the vPost route as many of the seller do not offer shipping to Singapore..
Think you'll easily paying > SG $925 with this..

Delivery time: around 1-2 week if taking the vPost route..

950 XL Dual SIM @ eBay = SG $770.65 + SG $24.82 postage + custom fee = SG $851 +
Delivery time: should receive the phone within 3-5 days

950 XL Dual SIM @ SGBest = SG $848 + GST = SG $907.36
Delivery time: should receive same day as order or the following day

Bro, band sync issue is stated in the known issues list... You can still sync with Windows PC I think.
