Newstar taking pre-orders on qoo10. Redmi 5 going for $215. 5 plus 3/32 additional $70 and 4/64 addtional $150. All prices pre discount coupon use so just nice there is a $30 cart coupon currently. Still this listed price is pretty marked up. Think a more reasonable starting price for 5 plus would be sub $250. Gonna wait for another month or so when more sellers start selling and prices drop then go hoot.

these are all with chinese roms though

Can't rmb which source did I saw that on 12.12 they will open both phone into the market. So those who wants probably have to get it from China official store.

Beside that, to get global ROM also not that fast lei. Will probably have 1 earliest by next year Jan or feb.

Hmmm, im actually contemplating on buying this and sell my oneplus 5t. I dont' really play games and all, so i don't really need the power of the sd835. I loved my redmi note 4, i shall wait until a custom rom is available for this. Hate miui

i actually don't mind miui, not too bad

i just cannot stand that Xiaomi always sell the scraps to SG and still mark up so high.

You can contrast this with OPPO which is expanding aggressively.

there's $30 coupon for purchase over $200 too :s12:

Sorry, $215 is the based price. If buying the redmi 5 plus is additional $75 for 3gb/32gb and $160 for 4gb/64gb. Why the price bump up so high for the 4gb/64gb.

There's always an initial markup price for new products.

If you're not in a hurry, can wait few weeks more when there's more sellers selling it then likely by then price will be lower.

Otherwise, you can get the Mi A1 with free gifts at Lazada now which is going for just $299 until 8pm!

Lol. There will be a lot of other android developers going to make custom ROM for every phone. Just that u will need give them time to build and test if it works well.

Not really though, usually only devices that supports unlock bootloader and run snapdragon processor will have developers. From my experience, phones that uses 3rd party/dedicated processors like mediatek or kirin dont have much custom roms
