wah so fast have global ROM? means that local Mi SG maybe bring either models?
Xiaomi registered both the Redmi 5(MDG1) and Redmi 5 Plus(MEG7) with IMDA already, now have to see when will they launch it in Singapore.

But I guess have to wait for other markets like India to launch it first then will arrive to Singapore.. :o

Second this. I bought the base model, and even that was surprisingly good. The battery life has been superb, the screen is nice looking enough, and the design is definitely better than the price suggests.

Performance from the SD450 is surprisingly good. Not a gigantic difference over the SD625, and MIUI 9 is the smoothest MIUI i've used yet. Colour me impressed. Camera is okay in good light, and not so great in lowlight, but to be expected. Actually already better than expected. lol.

At S$160 that i bought it for, it's an amazing phone for that price. At that price range we're looking at like Nokia 2, or Moto C/E4. Other than near stock android, those devices still lose out. I have the Nokia 5 at home which is supposed to be a higher tier, and even that isn't as smooth as the Redmi 5.

Looking forward to seeing the global version here in SG, and seeing more devices with SD450.

The Vivo V7+, another phone with SD450, will be coming to Singapore officially on Jan 20~

its hard to justify a redmi 5 with the existence of the note 4x..

1080p vs 720p.

Oooh. Interesting. The design of the front like nice. But the pricing is the key.
The Vivo V7+ is selling for RM1399(~S$469) in Malaysia, so the likely pricing in Singapore should be around S$448~S$498.

If it's really being sold at that pricing I guessed, then it will face competitors from other brands such as:
OPPO A75

Coming soon to Singapore, likely pricing is S$499. (http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/112334969-post2.html)

Huawei nova 2i

Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro

Xiaomi Mi A1

why is the vivo marketed as "300-400ppi" phone? very deceptive leh. 720p @5.99" is under 300 ppi.

at 500$ u can get a proper phone lol
