contemplating to get this redmi note 3 to replace my samsung note 3 (irony both same name model but different brand), but confuse if it is considered as an upgrade (metal built, fingerprint sensor) or downgrade (no removable battery and micoSD support). :s11:

any advise?

(1 cent $, 1 cent goods) they are of diff brand & value, cannot compare and better not compare. buy one Samsung can buy 3 xiaomi.
to each they like, you may spent more $ to buy 1 phone, or some like to spread the amount to buy more to play.

Don't rush to buy redmi note 3 yet. Wait abit and see see. Some things for you to consider first. First, it is not full metal. Top and bottom at the back is plastic, the integration between the plastic and metal quite obvious. Second, 4000mah sounds impressive but no one knows the actual power usage of the fingerprint reader yet. For all you know the extra 1000mah juice difference from the redmi note 2 is to power the fingerprint reader. Thirdly, issue of heat. Currently, for redmi note 2, sometimes the heat gets unbearable and holding the back of the phone can be quite a pain but since it is plastic, the impact vs metal not so bad. Metal redmi note 3 probably cool down faster but maybe also conduct heat faster. Last point, if want to get, get the higher end one, 3gb and 32gb rom can last you a long time.

First thing is to off the fingerprint reader... This function is jiak battery

Sent from Oneplus 2 using GAGT

What a weird logic! What are those phones with fingerprint security for. Haven't even see the device and no review is out but you "review" it. Lol. I use fingerprint on phones that support it, no different in battery life and once you use it, you can never go back. Pin and password just not convenient and fast enough.
