Analyst Says Don’t Expect SD652 Variant of Xiaomi Redmi Note 4

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 was launched 3 weeks ago. The phone sports a 5.5” FHD display like the Note 3, it also comes in two RAM+ROM variants (2GB+16GB and 3GB+64GB).

Apart from the storage option doubled in the 3GB RAM version, the other major change in the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is the Mediatek Helio X20 SoC.

Most people speculated that Xiaomi will launch another version with a Snapdragon 652 processor, just like they launched a snapdragon 650 version of the Redmi Note 3, which originally came with a Helio X10 chip. But analyst, Pan Jiutang says that will not be happening.

So for those of you who have been staving off the purchase of a Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 because you are expecting a snapdragon version, Mr Jiutang says your wish will not be fulfilled so you better pick up the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 now.

If Xiaomi truly doesn’t launch a snapdragon version of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, that doesn’t mean they won’t do so for the Xiaomi Redmi Pro, which in my opinion needs a snapdragon version more than the former.

Yup, indeed that Note 4 will not have a SD variant as since the Redmi Pro doesn't have, which the Note 4 will then have a low chance in having it too.
Redmi Pro is considered the flagship of the Redmi brand, thus it makes more sense to have a SD variant for the Pro more than the Note 4.

If no SD variant then won't be able to sell in India already. Why would xiaomi give up such a big market?

Taiwan might be having the Redmi Pro soon, so likely that Singapore may also get it too. It's something like how Redmi Note 2 is being introduced to the international market, which it features the Helio X10 SoC.

Maybe Xiaomi might intro a Redmi Pro variant with SD653 and a Redmi Note 4 variant with SD625 probably.

Would not be suprised that Note 4 pro will release with SD processor just like Note 3 pro.
Happen a few round with Xiaomi phone eg Redmi 1 vs 1s, Redmi 2 vs 2s, Note 3 vs note 4G? Redmi 2/3 vs Redmi 3 pro.

If you want to flame Xiaomi, please do it professionally.

There is no other Redmi 2 variant other than the Redmi 2A. The Redmi 2A only caters to the China market only, specifically CMCC customers. The Redmi 2 features a Snapdragon 410 SoC, while the Redmi 2A features a Leadcore SoC.

Your reason behind Redmi Note 3 and Redmi Note 4G? The Redmi Note 3 is a successor to the Redmi Note 2, of which the Redmi Note 2 is the successor to the Redmi Note 4G.

Redmi 3 Pro isn't exactly a new variant, it's just an improved Redmi 3 that has a fingerprint sensor and a bumped-up memory combi from the 3, now with a 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM.
Redmi 3 is the successor to the Redmi 2.

Redmi 2A do available at one stage in Sim Lim. Redmi note 3 and pro share the same foot print anyway. Lets face the fact. The company is in trouble to position their product to market. Do not forget also Mi5s is about to release to market too.
