Go fk the RM?

Anyway, like previous post mentioned, the interest credited would take care of "incremental" balances, if your RM insisted on that.

thanks for all the feedback guys, really appreciate it.

the rm is a chio bu :o

Yes, go to proper branch, ask for RM.
They are authorised to access banking system and create account on the spot. Staff that mentioned mailer are not RM, not authorised.

Source : past experience.

Will SIBOR 1-mth drop significantly below 1%?

sibor is closely correlated to the US Fed funds rate, so any expectations of a hike should move interest rates here higher.....so have to see the news on the US Fed funds rate now and analyse accordingly

Any point putting in funds at the start of the month now, since last month Feb-Mar has already lapsed (for accounts opened in Mar? Just have to put in at least 10k before the start of Apr to get the bonus interest counter+1?

Maxi gives u approx. 0.9% whereas SCB Esaver gives max 1.68%

On 10k for a month, that's about $6.5 difference.

huh? i opened my account on the spot at a ulu branch...no need to fill up any forms as the staff said just sign on the documents and she will fill in the rest. this works if you already have an account with citi

Tiong Bahru is what Citibank called an Instant Banking Centre.

Opening a maxigain account there is ironically not instant lah, they actually batch the form that you signed and send them for processing elsewhere and can take a week before your account is created.
Its best to do your account opening at a full service branch.

Told her I open the account at tiong bahru branch, she help me to call the staff there to check the status but in short, still have to wait for the mailer envelope after talking to the tiong bahru branch staff. :( ...the citi bank xmm ask me urgent anot, tempted to tell her I rugi 1 week interest. :(:o:(

The tiong bahru branch staff ask so many questions somemore, monthly income, company name etc. :(:(:( may becos I am a new customer... so cannot open the account on the same day

ps: no chiobu there also...

Do I need to open another esaver account too? Will it be instant?
