Was informed by the technicians that my compressor is faulty. Low fan speed and only cold after 45min. The existing system was installed more than 7 years.

Thinking of replacing existing system with a System 4 from either Mitsubishi Starmex, MHI or Daikin.

Can someone advise which model and the cost (including re-piping)?

Is it better to go to Cool Serve or Gain City? or some other aircon company.

Thanks in advance.

Need help! I am looking to replace my existing old aircon and get either Daikin SMILE or Mitsubishi Starmex.

Current house - normal 4-rm hdb, existing daikin aircon (more than 15 years, so piping need to change)

My options:
#1 Daikin MKS65QVMG (System 3) with 2 x CTKS25QVM and 1 x CTKS35QVM
#2 Mitsubishi Starmex MXY-3G28VA (System 3) with 2 x MSXY-FJ10VE and 1 x MSXY-FJ13VE

Anyone has gotten quotations on the 2? For Daikin, thinking to get from ProShop since I hear the prices quite similar even if I get a contractor. Which ProShop is recommended? (Theres like 5.. would their quotes be the same?)

Feel free to PM me your quotations as well! (Please include full details e.g. piping material, warranty, what is included/not included etc)

Any guru here can share how come my blower is so dirty? It's way more dirty den my air filter. I assume the air will pass thru the air filter before reaching the blower so the air filter shld be dirtier den the blower.

I'm using the Mitsubishi Starmex 5 ticks model and I have been using the aircon for past 6 months. I checked my living room blower and it's almost dirt free as compared to this damn dirty one.

Just take out the fan coil and wash la. Make sure its dry first before you put back in.

Hey Bros, I just got my first flat and I will need some help from you experts.

Which brand is better? Currently Daikin and starmex have the same price offered to me.

For 4 aircon units ( 3x9k btu and 1x18k btu):
3 ticks - 4.2k
5 ticks - 5.1k

What other questions should I throw at them to ensure I am getting the best out of this? matter is there a huge difference between 3 or 5 ticks?

Guy, I am also considering the smile series.
The electrician brought up the idea of having 2 compressors instead of one. But I don't really understand why it is better (my Chinese is bad). He mentioned something like it will be colder and if one compressor breakdown, still got one more working at least for the other rooms. Correct me if I am wrong please.

So if I follow his suggestion and go for 2 compressors (my house and 3 br, 1 living room), will it look like this?

Eg. 1:
Daikin smile series system 3
- this will be for the 3 rooms

Daikin smile series system 2
- This will be for the living room (2 Aircon units)

Or....

Eg. 2
2 x Daikin smile series system 2
- One for living room and a smaller room
- Other for MBR and another room

Is that correct? Any other way to configure?

If I go for 1 compressor, I can just go with a Daikin Smile series system 4. Will that be better?

Yes, I got saving of nearly 20% electric bill from 3 ticks to 4 ticks. Imagine the newer model which got 5 ticks. Average 40-50 buck saving per month and amount to 600 per year. You will get saving from 18 months onwards if you spend more $900 for 5 ticks.
