I use Xiaomi 10400mah battery to charge my Surface 3. No issues, although the Surface 3 can draw the full 2Amp that the Xiaomi can supply, so the Xiaomi can get hot charging the Surface 3.

Surface 3 AC adaptor supplies 2.5A through micro-USB. But that's nothing. My 950XL adaptor supplies 3A through USB-C!

Pro series uses proprietary connector so cannot use micro-usb to charge. You need special battery packs.

I'm using Surface 3, which is different. So I can use battery banks that supply 2A.

You should wait until MS announced a new Surface Pro with a shipping date in Singapore before buying. Or if MS announced End of Life.

I bought my Surface 3 after MS say no more Surface 3 by November. I picked up leftover stock at 15% discount.

Can anyone advise the contact no. of the MS service centre? Need to call to make an appointment since I wrecked my surface pro 3 screen after a fall overseas.. and the travel insurance provider needs an official quotation. So troublesome sigh.

Anyone experienced problems displaying video output to external VGA projector or external VGA display using Surface 3? I'm using the official VGA connector.

It is not able to detect an external display.

The same connector works fine on my other Surface Pro 1.

I have tried reinstalling Windows10 using the Surface 3 recovery image, to no avail.

It appears to be a HW issue.

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue with their Surface 3?

Thanks in advance.

12 Kallang Avenue, Aperia, #03-23 Singapore 339511
Customer Hotline: 6341 6721

Does the service centre still exist? Tired to call the number above no one answer. Wanted to send my Surface for repair but their technical hotline will need to pay $29 to reach them and the MS website only can select direct replacement at a cost of $350..

Called them, they don't deal with tablets. Only mobile devices.
