Because keyboard is touching the screen? If u have screen protector, then it is ok.

My iPad Pro Space Gray with apple smart cover and eggshell

It is to me. I bought a 3rd party front & back cover that is sleep/ wake capable. but the weak magnet on its front cover results in my IPP waking up whilst in my bag, causing battery drain.

now using smart cover with coverbuddy as back cover (with the Pencil holder). perfect for me, still lightweight and slim.
